Other news, other than than the nice reduction in taxes by Sumter County, the CDD districts provided their budget updates - if you live in CDD 2,3,5,6,7,8,10,11,12 there will be no increases this year.
However if you live in CDD 9, there will be a 10 percent decreased, if you live in CDD 4 there will be a 20percent increase and if you live in CDD 13 there will be a six percent increase.

Mortgage rates went up again as of today are showing a 5.50-5.85 for a 30 year fixed.
Just attended a mortgage seminar and the rates are expected to increase to about 7-7.5 by Oct.

Today I am sitting in the garden area of The Fenney Grill, Rec. Center and pool. It is very busy here with many people at the pool, restaurant is busy and the gardens and landscaping in the area are very lovely.
Fun news - If you have not visited The Villages Polo Club, then you are missing quite the treat. Open from Sept. through November and March through May, it is such a pleasure to set up a table and have lunch while watching the polo players from all over the world taking part in the event.

Today I am sitting on the patio of the Colony Recreation Center near 466A, this is one of the biggest Rec. Centers in The Villages and is used for many meetings, seminars etc. It also has a large pool, tennis courts and fitness center. Only Homeowners or their guests are allowed to use the Rec. centers, the Country Clubs and Town Squares are open to everyone.
Fun news - Apart from markets held each week in the Squares, there is Music by Hall & Oates, called the greatest duo in Rock & Roll History. Savannah Center on June 18th performances at 4pm and 7pm.

Sales continue to move forward, 36 homes were put into escrow last week and 33 closed escrow. This is a good sign, people are purchasing and our inventory is actually low, we have about a 2-3 month supply of homes on the market and in a normal market this would be around 5-6 months, our current inventory in The Villages is approx. 356 plus The Villages Developer with around 456 homes for sale.
Florida is still the #1 destination spot for visitors and spring break in the US today

The Market is moving nicely in The Villlages and surrounding areas. Listings continue to come on the market, properties continue to go into escrow, there are many buyers in this area looking for their new home, so activity is high along with slightly lower home prices, ten percent less inventory today than 3 weeks ago, properties are moving and selling.
